The following is what I’m personally writing to my representatives and US national media outlets. Please update as you see fit and do the same. Thank you.

Dear [Title and Name],

I’m writing you due to major concern over Israel’s burgeoning relationship with communist China. Israel has signed deals with Chinese companies to build and operate new ports at Haifa and Ashdod; China is building a steel canal of the ‘Med-Red’ Railway to connect the Red Sea to the Mediterranean, which provides shipping route diversification to the Suez Canal; Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan just recently visited Israel this week for Israel’s three day Innovation Summit; and the BBC just reported the following in an article titled, ‘Unlikely partners? China and Israel deepening trade ties’:

“So while President Trump is slapping tariffs on Chinese exports and talking tough, Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu is happily encouraging his country’s firms to accept Chinese investments, as the figures show.

In 2016 China’s direct investment in Israel almost tripled to $16bn (£12bn), according to a report in the South China Morning Post newspaper.

Meanwhile, the Jerusalem Post predicts that China will overtake the US as the number one source of overseas investment in Israel.”

There are dozens of Israeli press articles regarding growing Israel China relations, yet I have not seen nor heard anything from our government officials or press.

I am perplexed as to why such a supposedly strong ally is selling us out to communist China, so I did some digging and came across a Times of Israel article titled, ‘Bunting’s map and Israel on China’s new silk road,’ which may give us clues.

“Yossef Bodansky, an Israeli-American political scientist and senior editor of GIS/Defense & Foreign Affairs Daily, wrote an insightful article in their September issue regarding the convergence of China’s Afro-Eurasian integration project and Bunting’s map of the world as a clover leaf.

Heinrich Bunting was a German Protestant pastor, theologist and cartographer, and in his masterpiece Itinerarium Sacrae Scripturae (Travel Through Holy Scripture) in 1581, he portrayed the world that mattered was comprised of the three continents of Europe, Asia, and Africa, with each depicted as a cloverleaf.  They converged in Jerusalem, and the rest of the world was irrelevant. …

[W]hat is arising is the merging of the greater Middle East and the greater framework of the reawakened Mackinderian world order.  And, the clover leaf world centred on Jerusalem is converging with China’s One Belt, One Road project.”

I realize this is just one person’s perspective on this matter, but Yossef Bodansky has ties to convicted traitor (spy for Russia and Israel), Jonathan Pollard, which makes this is even more concerning.

Please look into this urgent matter, which is a major national security threat. We need to reassess our relationship with Israel. Thank you for your consideration.

  1. Much respect to you for doing this and for all of your work. You really do make a fine advocate for this point of view. The template is a great idea, and you have me nearly inspired to use it, but I have some trepidation. The Israel lobby a very heavy force in American politics. Isn’t it somewhat likely that my reps could already have relationships with different parts of this lobby? Hell I’m already on a few lists I’m sure just from looking at this site and others. This is such a third rail issue that associating ones self with it can cause real problems in someone’s personal/professional life. I’m not sure what I really expect you to say, but it’s a sincere concern and I imagine I’m not the only one who fears talking publicly about this kind of stuff.

  2. I feel kind of bad putting this to you, as I said I’m not sure how I could really expect you to respond. How about this: in my experience talking about these issues is not a good way to win friends/influence people. Too easily people will assume you just hate Jews and then start filtering everything you say through that lens. Maybe some tips on how to talk about this stuff without triggering people? I’m not super eleoquent and talking about loaded issues only make it worse- were I to call my rep today I would probably not be helping this cause but rather hindering it- I expect I’m not alone in that.
